exhibition statement
Women’s History Month is an annual celebration during the month of March that highlights the contributions and achievements of women throughout history. Bell Laboratories was a legacy of innovation, and Bell Works is the continuation of that progress. This building is home to many of the world’s largest discoveries. March is a time to recognize the vital role that women have played in shaping our world and to pay homage to their struggles, triumphs, and ensuring impact. One compelling way to celebrate Women’s History Month is through art.
Art can help to tell women’s stories and preserve their legacy for future generations, giving voice to women trailblazers and their experiences. Throughout this exhibit, you’ll be able to immerse yourself with female creators and innovators through the years in art form from students at One River School of Art + Design in Middletown, NJ.
We believe through paintings, drawings, and other forms of creative expression, art hs the power to bring women’s history to life and inspire us to continue working towards a more equitable future.
